If you are going to need to delete an existing asset type there are a couple of things you should think about before doing it.
- Are there any assets that are already associated with this asset type?
- You could also just rename the asset type instead of removing it.
What if I have assets already associated with the asset type I want to remove?
If you already have assets associated with a particular type and you delete it then all the assets that are associated with that type will automatically be removed from it causing your inventory to be in type la-la land. We recommend first changing the type in the asset first before removing it. You can do that under the General tab when editing your inventory.
